Mappings in the packages

Hi all,

Is it possible to get information of the mappings availabe in the packages?, like the column mappings in the OLE Destination control, column mappings in the merge join control etc.,. I want the information of source and destination in the mappings(name of the DB, table). I want that to be in some file like excel file. Inform me is there a way to get it?

Thanks in advance,

Saravanan.W.S

Currently there is not way to export that kind of mapping metadata to Excel. Depending on your needs, however, you may find the SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence Metadata Samples Toolkit useful. You can download it here ...

Manually Creating Membership Tables

Hi, I have limited control on the server I use. I can not create data bases but can add tables and edit the data base that has been created for me. So what I would like to do is be able to use a tool such as aspnet_regsql through SQL Server Express to add the tables that Membership would automatically create. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be great

Thanks

Hi,

if you're able to execute sql statements on the server you could use the aspnet_regsql tool to create all the necessary sql statements:http://forums.asp.net/p/994473/1298256.aspx#1298256.

Thanks for looking in on me Kris. Can the aspnet_regsql tool be run using SQL Server Express or do you have to run it through the dos command line? Is there step by step instructions anywhere?

Any help would be great

Hi,

indeed you have to run it from the command line.

Hi,

also take a look at this article:Create Membership tables in another database than the standard aspnetdb.mdf.

Thanks again Kris, I do not have the permissions on the server to access the command line.

howlinhuskie:

I do not have the permissions on the server to access the command line.

And from your own developer pc? If you already have a database and know its name you can use the command line tool from your dev pc, generate the sql statements and later on use Query Analyzer or SQL Server Management Studio to run those queries on the remote database server. You do have permissions to run sql statements on your SQL Server right? In case not you could still generate it and have a DBA install it.

Manual Installation of Printing ActiveX Control

I have a issue. My users that run RS Reports do not have administrative priviledges to install the ActiveX control required to use the Print function for an RS Report. Currently, the only way they can print the report is to export the report to another format before printing.

Is there a way to manually install the ActiveX Control. I need to install the control on about 200 users, possibly through network logins scripts.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

did you ever resolve this issue? we're running into the same.

any help is appreciated.

Management Studio support for Foundation Server Source Control

Does the SQL 2005 Management Studio support source Control from Team
Foundation Server. All the documentation refers to VSS.
I have the TFS client installed and is working with Visual Studio but is not
a visable option in SQL Management Studio.
Is this a managed news group?

Does any one know of a TFS Plug in for SQL 2005 Managament Studio?
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your posting.
From your descriptions, I understood you would like to know whether it is
possible to use Team Foundation Server for SQL Server 2005 source control.
If I have misunderstood your concern, please feel free to point it out.
First of all, since TFS has not been released, we do not have much document
on this.
Based on my knowledge, unfortunately, TFS cannot work with SQL Server 2005
now. You may also post your question in the newsgroup below for more
information

Last but not the least, other communities might share their invaluable
experience here.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are always here to be of
assistance!
